Become a Volunteer

Look For Green welcomes community members to join us as volunteers. Volunteers mainly serve at the Look For Green Advertising Truck and “Look 2 Green” Second-hand Charity Sales event in the following scopes:

1. Promote awareness and educate about environmental protection, culture of community reuse and clean recycling to the public
2. Assist community participants on categorized clean recycling
3. Assist on the setup and cleanup of decorations and booths for service

By engaging volunteers, we wish we could together serve the community and save the environment, and more importantly learn and explore in the process the way to improve services, promote a green message and lifestyle, and build up a greener community.

Despite the voluntary nature, Look For Green provides volunteer allowance of $30/hour as honorarium, to thank volunteers for their effort serving the community and subsidize for transportation. If you are interested in advocation of environmental protection with us, please apply to join us now.

Date:               From now until November 2022 (Tuesday to Sunday)

Time:               Morning Session (9:30-13:30) / Afternoon Session (14:00-18:00)

Venue:             Community Stations in Kowloon East

Requirements: Community members who can continually serve for at least one session per week for more than 3 months preferred (actual service time to be decided together according to volunteer availability and service needs)

Community Collaboration

Look For Green welcome all community stakeholders including housing estates, schools, organizations and small shops to contact us for cooperation opportunities. Potential collaborations include providing parking space for one-time service of the Green Advertising Truck becoming a “Community Station” for regular service, providing venues for Second-hand Charity Sales, collecting recyclable and reusable items in the community for bringing to the Truck and more. Media Communication

Look For Green welcomes media contact. We are happy to collaborate with reporters and editors, including verification of information, provision of background information and materials of Look For Green and its events, arranging representatives and volunteers for interviews, providing media materials and arranging on-the-spot visit and interviews.
